PIC Barcode Reader/Printer
A problem in the storage of exhibits is the assignment of the exhibit to the data record in the PIC ImageAccess. We developed a simple and very efficient solution for the police of Luxembourg (Service Police Grand-Ducale). This additional software makes it possible to print any field from the PIC ImageAccess database as a barcode. We chose the EAN 39 extended code as the barcode type.
This code allows special characters and additionally the character string can be printed as normal text below the bar code. If an exhibit is filed in the database, the number of the exhibit or another arbitrary field as a barcode can be printed on a label printer. The exhibit is tagged with the self-adhesive barcode. Consequently the exhibit is firmly linked with the entry in the PIC ImageAccess database.
Of course the bar code can be selected on the exhibit with the barcode reader at any time and with the filter function in the PIC ImageAccess the linked data record can be found again. Like this misspelling is impossible.2d Barcode with link to http://www.picsystems.ch
