PIC Repro
To be able to capture 1 to 1 and to print out forensic traces (footprints, fingerprints, tool traces) as
well as traces of fluids on clothes we developed PIC-Repro.
With its 1.2 m tripod, 2 HF repro lights,
one DC-500 digital camera with linear lens it allows
optimal possibilities to capture perfectly and in
an until now never reached quality and efficiency.
Enlargement, aperture and focus are computer
controlled. Factory or user defined settings permit
to work in the millimetre accuracy range. PIC-Repro
is set to capture and store exactly calibrated pictures
within the range from 400x300mm to
50x60mm. The 12 mega pixels camera has a live
picture feature (up to 11 pictures per second) that
allows to select the required settings directly by
using the TFT monitor. The focus can be adjusted
by using the mouse wheel. Reflections on the image
are prevented by a shadow-/ reflexion cover, especially
useful with black gelatine foils.
It is possible to add to the system an optional illumination
as e.g. the PIC-Light or a shape converter.
The "PIC-Image Access Pro" image database is
optimised for capturing traces. The database is customisable.
